First thoughts on “No Conviction” from The Orthodox Heretic

In this story Rollins challenges us that the internal life of the soul isn’t actually the state-challenging faith that Jesus championed. I think one of the things that I’m trying to do, or would critique about Rollins here is that, yes I would like to be challenging the structures that are against the Kingdom, but I want to bring my friends along with me. The bringing in of Kingdom justice to bear on the structures of the world is not an individualistic endeavour, if it were it would be much like the world around us, we would be ironic in our implementation of Kingdom values if we did not go together as a family on mission.
